Although I didn’t stay overnight, I stopped by Hideout Koh Kood to have a look around and enjoy the atmosphere, and I was genuinely impressed. The resort is beautifully designed with a modern tropical style, a lovely swimming pool, comfortable sun loungers and plenty of relaxing spaces. Everything looked clean, well maintained and very inviting. The location is excellent, just a short walk from one of Koh Kood’s most beautiful beaches, making it a great place to relax even if you’re only visiting the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I never felt like I had to be a hotel guest to enjoy the surroundings. I can’t comment on the rooms since I didn’t stay here, which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. But based on what I experienced, this would definitely be on my shortlist if I return to Koh Kood. Highly recommended to stop by for a drink, a meal or simply to enjoy the atmosphere.

One of the most stunning hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Everything was simply perfect from the breathtaking views of the sky and sea 🌊 to the beautiful design and peaceful atmosphere. What made this stay even more special was the warm welcome from the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. 🩵 I truly enjoyed every moment here. If you're looking for a place to relax, connect with nature, and enjoy beautiful surroundings, Hideout Koh Kood is definitely wort✨

DISAPPOINTING stay – TOTALLY NOT worth the price The staff seemed quite confused and poorly coordinated; I had to repeat myself multiple times because they didn't seem to communicate with one another, and some didn't even know basic information about the hotel. As for the room itself (room C4), it was just okay—quite small and nothing special in terms of design, plus the water pressure in the shower was incredibly weak. There are also barely any amenities here, so if you are planning a longer stay, you will find yourself with absolutely nothing to do. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi was highly unstable and barely worked inside the room. Regarding the food, the items we ordered from the à la carte menu were quite overly salty, though the breakfast buffet was actually okay. Overall, considering the price, this hotel does not offer good value for money.

Fabulous place to stay! We booked 3 different rooms, one for me and my partner, her parents, and then her brother/cousin. We had a wonderful ocean view from our bungalow, a nice private pool, gorgeous room, and impeccable service. All of the staff at the hideout are very attentive and friendly. The whole place is very well kept overall. Wildlife is natural and real, not artificial or synthetic. My partner proposed here, and the staff was very diligent to help make everything perfect! ❤️🎉🥰😘 Thank you so much to all of the lovely staff at the Hideout who went out of their way to help, a dream come true.

I stayed at Hideout Koh Kood and overall it was a very good experience. The resort has a calm, boutique atmosphere and feels very private — exactly what I was looking for on Koh Kood. It’s quiet, surrounded by nature, and perfect if you want to truly disconnect. One thing I immediately noticed was how beautiful everything smelled — especially inside the villas. It gave a very fresh, clean, almost spa-like feeling from the moment you walk in. The villas are spacious, bright, and very well designed. Mine was in the first line with a direct sea view, which made a big difference. Waking up and seeing the ocean straight ahead was special. The villa had a huge bathtub and a small private pool. What I really loved was the direct pool access straight from the room — you literally step out of your bedroom and into the water. The terrace was also very pleasant, with a comfortable daybed, table, and chairs — perfect for relaxing in the afternoon or enjoying a quiet drink in the evening. There isn’t a sandy beach directly in front of the villas — it’s rocky there — but right next to the resort there is a nice beach area where you can swim comfortably. A very convenient option is scooter rental directly through the resort. It’s affordable, easy to arrange, and a great way to explore Koh Kood independently. The bed was comfortable and everything felt clean and well maintained. One thing that could definitely be improved is the air conditioning. It either runs at full power and gets too cold, or once you turn it off, the room becomes hot and humid quite quickly. A more balanced temperature control would make the stay even more comfortable. Breakfast and dining in general were average. The selection is fairly wide, but the overall quality could be improved. In today’s hospitality trend, many top restaurants focus on offering fewer dishes but with higher quality and better execution. Moving in that direction — a smaller menu with stronger attention to detail and ingredients — would significantly elevate the experience. I also noticed that some breakfast items were being cleared before 10:00 am, and occasionally orders were misunderstood or forgotten. These are operational details that are relatively easy to improve and would noticeably enhance the overall stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the resort is truly relaxing. If you’re looking for parties or a large luxury resort vibe, this is not the place. But if you want privacy, calm, sea views, and a boutique island escape — Hideout is a very good choice. With a few improvements in temperature control and food quality focus, it could become an outstanding boutique resort. I would still consider coming back for a peaceful stay on Koh Kood.
