We visited Impulse by the Sea to celebrate our mum’s birthday and decided to give it a try after hearing it’s under new management — and wow, what a decision that was. We ordered a ½ lamb bunny and a prawns platter, and we were genuinely blown away. The food arrived incredibly quickly, and the service was absolutely immaculate from start to finish. The lamb bunny was easily one of the best we’ve ever had — a solid 10/10. Flavourful, generous, and perfectly done. This is officially our new go-to spot for a bunny, especially considering how well-priced everything is. Not expensive at all, which makes it even better. A big hats off to the new management at Impulse , they’re clearly doing something very right. Our waiter was an absolute pleasure and added to the overall great experience. If we had one small suggestion, it would be to upgrade the sound system with a bit more deep bass and possibly enhance the ambient lighting with a renovation. Other than that, there are genuinely no complaints.

Had a fantastic meal at Impulse by the Sea. Sizwe was an excellent waiter – friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. The lamb curry and butter chicken were absolutely exceptional, full of flavour and perfectly prepared. The poppadoms were fresh and crisp. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended.

By far the best crab and prawn curry I have ever eaten outside of home! In fact probably EVER eaten! The restaurant is unassuming and inviting not those over fancy spots that you feel intimidated to eat incase anyones watching you. Crab curry and prawn curry served hot and just to my liking, and with the 80’s music reminds me of my childhood! R450 for a serving of crab that two could eat from is a STEAL! Definitely a repeat, would have loved it to be halal then I could try out all the other stuff too!
