Good charity shop for thrifting, used books, clothes, etc. People complaining its too expensive? I disagree, its good prices. Seems some want everything for free (even when its a charity shop).

As an expat looking for new and used odds-and-ends, I'm glad I found this place. The book section was impressive–I took a whole stack of books home! I'm not thoroughly acquainted with other thrift stores in South Africa, so I can't say how this place compares. However, I found the clothing section a bit disappointing. I had to pick through quite a lot to find quality items. The other part of the store, which had miscellaneous items, was also a mixed bag. Still, I brought home some hangers and almost got a lamp! More than anything, I appreciate that this shop raises money for an important cause. Yes, I will continue to support them!

Puchased two great books for my 11 year old daughter as well as one for myself at a bargain price! All three books were in mint condition! The bookstore-area is neat and the reception lady is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely make a turn there again. Especially helpful when you require books for prepared reading at school. However... The main section of the Hospice Shop is a mess! I walked in and out within two minutes. It was untidy, messy and crowded. I was looking forward to just browsing through the shop as I follow their FB page and always see items that tickle my fancy. Pity you cannot pay for items via EFT so that you can just collect - would be so much more convenient! 100% sure I will not venture into their shop again unless they tidy up!

I love this hospice shop! I have bought countless second hand bargains at this shop and the money goes for a good cause as well.They also have a bookshop where you get the most amazing, second hand books.There is also a clothes shop and a shop where household items are up for grabs.
