This is a world class theater...definitely underrated...attended an amazing international chamber music festival...enough parking there was a stocked bar as well as a café...the seating is excellent & acoustics amazing...

Went to the lunch concert as a reward for studying so hard and I don't regret it. I love this place and I'm glad my first experience was with my friends. The jazz band is BYJO and they're from Germany. The conductor was a really funny cute old man who made us laugh and was very engaging with the crowd. I can't wait for many more adventures at the Endler Hall.

Beautiful venue and great acoustics. You can't take drinks into the venue so getting a coffee is largely impractical. Parking is also a bit hit and miss but the overall experience was very good.

The Stellenbosch City Orchestra presents: A Tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber Venue: Endler Hall, Stellenbosch Date: 28 February 2026 ​On Saturday night, the Stellenbosch City Orchestra (SCO) turned the Endler Hall into a West End stage, delivering a breathtaking tribute to the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber. Under the precise and spirited baton of Paul van Zuilenburg, the evening was not just a concert, but a grand celebration of musical theatre that left the sold-out crowd in awe. ​Powerhouse Performances ​The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the chemistry between the two featured soloists. Lynelle Kenned was nothing short of luminous; her soaring soprano brought a haunting beauty to selections from The Phantom of the Opera and an emotional depth to "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" from Evita that moved many to tears. ​Complementing her perfectly was Louis Loock, whose powerhouse vocals and dramatic flair captured the essence of Webber’s most iconic male roles. Whether it was the rock-infused energy of Jesus Christ Superstar or the poignant "Music of the Night," Loock’s range and stage presence were commanding. ​Orchestral Brilliance ​The SCO proved once again why they are such a vital part of the Western Cape’s musical landscape. The arrangements were lush and expansive, filling the acoustically superb Endler Hall with a rich, cinematic sound. From the playful, rhythmic complexity of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to the melancholic strings of Memory (Cats), the orchestra handled the diverse shifts in mood with seamless professional polish. ​A Night to Remember ​What made this specific performance special was the palpable "highlights" energy—a fast-paced journey through Sunset Boulevard, Requiem, and more, ensuring there was never a dull moment. The standing ovation at the end was not just for the music, but for the sheer joy and high-caliber talent brought to the Stellenbosch stage. ​If this concert was any indication of what the rest of the 2026 Endler Series has in store, South African music lovers have a spectacular year ahead of them.
