Wine was lovely, roosterkoek was tasty, location was beautiful. They only had tables outside for the wine tasting, so bring a jacket, the wind can get chilly!

Absolutely outstanding!! first visit and already a firm favourite! I visited Vergenoegd Löw for the first time recently and was completely blown away. The team has taken traditional huiskos (proper South African comfort food) and given it such a clever, delicious modern twist, everything felt familiar yet elevated and exciting. The juicy burger with those perfectly crispy potato wedges and the loaded boerewors roll topped with caramelised onions and mustard were highlights for me. Even the sides and garnishes were thoughtful and fresh. The wines are excellent — smooth, well-balanced, and a perfect match for the food. Service from the entire team was warm, attentive, and genuinely fantastic. The environment is so calm and beautiful... with those stunning views made the whole experience feel special and relaxed. 10 out of 10 from me. I’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, great wine, and a peaceful, beautiful setting in the Winelands. Thank you to the whole team! ❤️
