Cape Dutch cottage winery with Mediterranean cultivars and a modern B&B
Highly recommended! We stayed for one night and enjoyed every second of it. The location is beautiful, the rooms are big modern, comfortable and clean. Beautiful big pool. Wine tasting and wines were top notch. The owner is very friendly, we enjoyed very much talking to him and he gave us excellent restaurant tips for the area.
An absolute hidden gem near Cape Town. From the moment we arrived, Tatiana made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The breakfasts were incredible, fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully prepared with ingredients sourced from local farms. She also gave us a lovely tour of the winery and a tasting of their wines, which made the experience feel even more personal and special. We originally planned to stay for just one night but extended to two because it was so peaceful, beautiful, and conveniently close to both Cape Town and the airport that we didn’t want to return to the city. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to fully enjoy the pool and the stunning vineyard views, which just gives us another reason to come back during the season. Tempel Wines is a green paradise. We‘ve enjoyed every minute of our stay at this beautiful estate. The rooms are very lovely, clean with a super comfy bed. Loved the luxurious Charlotte Rhys products in the bathroom. Exceptional breakfast, great service and very welcoming hosts, who provide helpful advice for restaurants/sightseeing etc. Thank you Tom & Tatyana for this wonderful experience!
Our stay at Tempel Wines was nothing short of magical, and our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The views are breathtaking and the staff are wonderful, but a true highlight was meeting their five dogs - mostly Ridgebacks, which are such beautiful, majestic animals. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring fresh local produce and the most delicious fresh-squeezed orange juice. We especially enjoyed our time chatting with the owner, Tom; he is such an inspirational person who truly makes the experience special. We thought taxis might be an issue due to the location but uber worked just fine, we only had a long wait for an uber once. The wines are exceptional and they have a honesty bar, which my husband enjoyed a lot, perhaps too much! We cannot recommend this beautiful place enough!
We had an amazing experience at Tempel Wines. The welcome was truly warm and genuine. The place is beautiful, with a wonderful African atmosphere – relaxed, stylish, and inviting. The pool is perfect to enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the stunning surroundings. The estate’s own wines are excellent and offered with great hospitality. Tom and Tanja are fantastic hosts – always ready with helpful tips about the area and restaurants, and lovely company for a good chat. We visited some larger, super-luxury wine resorts, but it was always a joy to return to Tempel Wines. Dear Tom and Tanja: when we come back to Africa, we’ll definitely return!
