An organic guest farm in Montagu with pools and farm activities
Excellent location (so close to the mountains). Excellent service (every single staff is so friendly and eager to help). The cutest most cuddly cat and dog. Cutest little store with the best fragances, soaps, lotions, oils. However, we were disappointed with the rooms (not in the main house; the house behind the main house) which needs lots of maintenance as there is a mould and dampness issue.
We loved our stay here! It is a beautiful, tranquil space away. Everything is clean, user friendly and sets a welcoming tone for its guests. The hosts were so lovely and the included breakfast has a little bit of everything. The restaurant has a French feel, with cafe music playing the whole day. There is also a small boutique shop where you can buy their house-brand products (soaps, creams and more). The location was a 20 minute walk for us to get to town. There is a hot and cold pool which is a fabulous touch! It felt like we got the best of both worlds. Thank you Kogmans & Keisie!
Beautiful organic farm to stay in Montagu, giving you the best of all: The accommodation is nestled on the flank of the mountain, providing views onto the wild fijnbos flora, where paths are made for a short walk from the doorstep. Yet also just a 5 min stroll away from Montagu's picturesque main street. The central deck area feels luxuriously comfortable to relax, and also intimate. We observed a lot of care to detail in the breakfast serving, and the decoration of the rooms and amenities. The owners are a truly inspiring couple. We stayed for 5 days at the Mountain View Cottage, which is a spacious self-catering, free-standing house, exquisitely equipped (3 sleeping rooms). We can highly recommend this place, and we'll be back!
We had a fantastic, absolute blissful and peaceful stay in the Mountain View Cottage. Yolandie and her team, Paul and Oslyne, went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. Our children received the opportunity to get a real farm experience: every morning they went out to greet the geese and the chickens and were allowed to collect the chicken eggs. They thoroughly enjoyed this! The two border collies, Suki and Panda, were always close by and kept a watchful eye. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking in the beautiful mountains and the farm is connected directly to the Montagu Nature Reserve. Yolandie also treated us to a fantastic meal, all fresh produce coming from the farm and a freshly baked focaccia welcomed us one evening. We enjoyed the lazy afternoons on the two decks next to the two swimming pools. A braai next to the Kol Kol hot tub was a big treat. The Fijn Botanical products in the cottage were amazing! A BIG thank you, we really enjoyed our stay! You will definitely see us again.
Where Bed and Breakfast meets Boutique Hotel! We had an incredible stay at Kogman & Keisie Guest Farm! The staff are incredible and Yolandie and Paul made it feel like home-away-from-home. The rooms were outstanding. I usually feel the need to check for spiders and crawlers whenever we book into a place, but not at Kogman and Keisie.. The rooms were clean and smelled incredible. We made the most of our short stay, with mountain bikes available for their guests - even to town. We enjoyed the walking trails and heated swimming pool (I can't remember when last I took a swim 7:00 in the morning!).. The scenery is just breathtaking. Views of the farm and beautiful horses along the riverbed was just too beautiful for words. The onsite coffee shop and wellness spa is a great plus - the breakfast was outstanding.
