Padel and pickleball courts in Clifton, offering equipment rental and retail
The moment you step onto the Glen, all your worries melt away, thanks to the breathtaking views. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the courts are top notch. Joining my First Ladies social has been a fantastic experience, allowing me to connect with some amazing women. A special shoutout to the staff and especially the club manager for their unwavering support and assistance. This place has truly become my favorite spot!
Best Padel club location in the country
This place is pure bliss for padel. You get great vibes, welcoming staff, great courts to play on, well kept equipment to rent and buy and of course the view of Camps Bay. I’d honestly recommend this spot over other Virgin Active Padel Clubs
This could not have been any more disappointing than neighbouring Africa Padel. On arrival, every guest/non member must wait in line, to fill in an intake form which reception must then check and process. I was told that I must give my passport number, date of birth, and email address. To play padel, once off, as a guest? The form is tedious to fill out and solicits the opportunistic wish for Virgin Active to begin sending marketing emails to you, to facilitate a new subscriber. The form is also so poorly designed, it's difficult to fit handwriting in. Is this really necessary? The courts themselves had leaves, trash and debris all over them. They look mostly onto the busy and noisy road. There is not a decent view of the mountains. Rackets are R60. They are R50 at Africa Padel. The courts blasted a playlist of teenage pop music on a looped audio file. No variety in genre and no surround sound. I found it difficult to speak over the music. There are no nice post game areas to hang out or get a drink in or wait around at. Inside of the gym there is a Nu - but it's so full of general gym clients it was difficult to find seating or place an order. At the end of the day padel is padel and the sport was still playable. But management could so easily be more creative, resourceful and considerate about their environment, customer experience and the general convenience of just playing a game between some mates.
The court has great view, different options for racket rental. Court has a little too much of sand in my opinion...
