Really beautiful walk. A fantastic escape from the noise and chaos of the city. Sweeping views of camps bay and the ocean. I've heard it can unsafe for solo walkers so be careful.

Did the Pipe Track hike and really enjoyed it. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow, with amazing views the whole way. It’s a relaxed hike with a nice mix of city, mountain, and ocean scenery. Perfect if you want something scenic without it being too intense. Would definitely do it again.

This is one of the best spots if you enjoy walking or running while taking in stunning views of Lion’s Head, Camps Bay, and Table Mountain. I went during sunset, and it was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this place—whether you’re staying in Cape Town long-term or visiting for the first time, make sure to add it to your list. It’s a must-see!

You start the Pipe Track at Tafelberg Road and it’s a relaxing walk all along the contour of Table Mountain until you hit Theresa Avenue Jeep Trial. This is a popular walk and you might also find trail runners doing their morning routine on this route. It’s ideal for beginners who just walk a bit of mountain experience without any difficult sections and, at the same time, have the experience of being out in a lovely environment. People are friendly on the walk and because the route is pretty well-marked, it’s not difficult to get lost. Many routes up Table Mountain have their jumping off point on the Pipe Track.
