We absolutely loved our visit to the Cape Wheel! It was one of those experiences that looks simple at first, but once you're up in the air and taking in the views, you realise just how special it is. Being able to see Cape Town from above was fantastic. The views over the V&A Waterfront, the harbour, the ocean, the city, and especially Table Mountain were absolutely spectacular. We were lucky enough to have a clear day, which made the experience even better. It was also a great opportunity to take some beautiful photos and just sit back and enjoy the scenery. What we really enjoyed was that it was something the whole family could do together. The cabins are comfortable and enclosed, so you can relax and enjoy the ride without feeling nervous. The kids absolutely loved going higher and higher and seeing everything from a completely different perspective. The location is also perfect. Being at the V&A Waterfront means there is so much to do before and after the ride — plenty of restaurants, shops, walks and other attractions nearby. We spent a really enjoyable day in the area and the Cape Wheel was definitely one of the highlights. I would highly recommend doing the Cape Wheel if you're visiting Cape Town, especially with family. It isn't a long experience, but the views and memories make it well worth it. If you can, try to go on a clear day or around sunset — I can imagine the views at that time would be absolutely incredible. A fantastic experience, beautiful views, and something we would happily do again! Definitely worth adding to your Cape Town itinerary.
