Live music and artisan menu in the Rosebank neighborhood of Cape Town
The cafe is a nice looking place with a small artisan menu and good prices. The drinks were nice and the burger and chips were amazing, however the service was bad, from this was server and the payment system would benefit from an upgrade to ensure little waiting times.
A hidden gem in quaint Rosebank where live music, stand-up comedy, good food, wonderful patrons and an incredibly warm and friendly host (Jonathan) will make you come back again and again.
Alma Café is the neighbourhood café of dreams! It’s a quiet, cosy, unfussy, perfect work-from-home space in the heart of a beautiful suburb steeped in history, a stone’s throw away from the Rosebank train station. The coffee is excellent and there is an ever-changing array of home-baked treats on offer as well as a simple yet hearty bistro-style menu for something more substantial. Cannot recommend this well-loved family-run business enough for those wanting to escape the shiny, cold, modern veneer of many of Cape Town’s more pretentious coffee shops!
The Alma Cafe is a wonderful, warm, local space for live music in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You can really tell it is a family-owned and run business, as the warmth of all the staff towards one another (and the guests) was very evident. Delicious food and an amazing gig by Hatchetman (doing their CSN&Y experience) - a wonderful time had by all!! Would highly recommend!
This place is amazing. Very good food and the owner sell also biscuits and stuff that are homemade with love and really good. I bought one pack of biscuits and arrive home with none. Then the atmosphere is difficult to explain, very honest and cozy. We got a blues/rock concert that was very good. Really nice place if you looking for a more intimate and local true experience.
