What an awful encounter at Star Theatre. We purchased tickets online for the Jury Experience about 4 months in advance. Tickets said show starts at 6pm. We arrived at 6:01pm and literally had the door closed in our face. We were told that we had to be seated by 5:55pm. a) this was NOT visible on the ticket and we were reffered to the fine print b) where is the margin for a bit of extra traffic/delays. When I asked for the manager I was told I’m dealing with the manager of Star and he can’t help me and that I must deal with the event company who had NO representative on site. Absolutely unacceptable. People were walking out of the show as seats were not reserved and people that arrived before us as a couple/family had to split up and sit separately. We were all dressed up for a fun night of theatre and were left like stray dogs on the pavement because we were 1 min late. All in all the way Star Theatre handled the issue was extremely poor. If they take the money for a production and the production company does not have staff on site, it is the responsibility of Star to ensure a seamless excellent experience for their guests. For me, no more Star theatre, really disappointed family.
