Local seafood and harbour views from our terrace restaurant
We had a wonderful lunch at Upper Quay (the upstairs - they have a different menu from the main Quay Four restaurant on the lower floor). The views were beautiful, the seafood was fresh and full of flavour, and every dish was thoughtfully prepared. The service was warm, attentive and professional throughout. Combined with the lovely atmosphere and setting, it made for a memorable meal and one of our favourite dining experiences in Cape Town. Highly recommended.
Casual seafood dining. Food quality good and reasonably priced. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice views over the hard. Enjoyed the clam chowder soup, calamari and Castle Lager on tap. No reservations possible – walk-ins only.
Beautiful atmosphere. Great views. We were in Capetown for 3 days and visited Quay Four once every one of those days. Bongz took care of us and he was a great host. I would recommend this place over and over and will visit again the next time I'm in Capetown
The prawns are a marvel to your taste buds. Very value for money !!!! 1Kg of prawns for like 400 zar. But am still giving 3 stars for 2 things: Both meals were borderline luke warm when served. The chips/fries are not great at all. Else, very nice spot and atmosphere. Loved the wine and good attentive service.
We selected this restaurant after a running race. We were 5 persons and early ( just after 12) thus we were seated immediately. We waited over an hour for our food but the restaurant was quite busy and our waiter regularly stopped by with updates. The family seafood platter( shared by 4 of us) was delicious with the fish cakes and big hit. The chips and race on the platter was quite small for a family of 4 and can be reconsidered.
