Fitness club in De Waterkant with a hybrid training floor and premium equipment
I had an issue where a Discovery Vitality system error meant my Vitality benefit wasn't linking on the Planet Fitness system. Mercedes was incredibly helpful and let me continue with my workout while she worked on resolving the issue. By the time I finished my session, everything had been sorted out. She was friendly, efficient, and provided excellent customer service. Thank you, Mercedes!
1st time visitor here. Bad: The parking situation with the parkit app thing is a step backwards. Frustrating as there's no mobile signal in the car park. Good luck to you if you have no num plate due to having a new car. The staff are not very welcoming and feel like they're doing you a favour to be there. Members in general have bad etiquette. Good: The gym itself is well equipped with an excellent variety. Virgin active could learn a thing or 2 from them. They have Hammer strength and Life fitness machines, which are in my opinion the top 2 gym machine brands. Gym floor is clean. The showers are the best I have ever experienced. High pressure but soft spray, hot, and good soap. The lockers are cool. You set a code and lock it. Then open with the code you set. No worries about locks and keys. This is very cool

I had an outstanding experience at Planet Fitness De Waterkant, and I’d like to give a special shoutout to Damian for his exceptional service. About a week ago, Damian truly went above and beyond to assist me at the gym. From the moment I approached him, he was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. He took the time to understand exactly what I needed and made sure I felt comfortable and confident, which made a huge difference to my overall experience. What stood out most was his professionalism and positive attitude he didn’t just do the bare minimum, he made a real effort to ensure everything was sorted and that I had a great experience. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated and customer-focused. Thank you, Damian, for your outstanding support and for representing the gym so well. Experiences like this are what keep members coming back!
Is this what Planet Fitness means with “signature”? Wow… A gym with NO functional training space. None. They removed it with their revamp. You can use class spaces, but then they chase you out. But loads of Hyrox and funky wood equipment space. Also way too many members and just gets worse. Too little equipment. Equipment keeps breaking (overuse?). Dirty. So many broken things. When I joined I loved it, now it is a mess.
