The concept of yoga in an art gallery is lovely in theory, but unfortunately, the space just didn’t feel suited to a calming practice. The room was quite narrow and filled with artworks and easels, which made it difficult to move freely and follow the class comfortably. It also got quite noisy at times, with the shop opening, the doorbell ringing, and people (and even a dog) coming through during the session. The instructor was kind and welcoming, but the environment made it hard to feel relaxed and centered. I think with a quieter, more open space, the experience could be much more enjoyable.

Life Retreat Studio is situated in the beautiful Lourensford Wine Estate. The studio offers amazing classes from yoga to meditation. The views of the mountains, the trees and gardens are spectacular. They even have a shop where you can buy yoga pants, candles, Ayurvedic medicines and beautiful gifts. I love the teachers, the studio, the nature and surrounds. It is a very special place.

One of the most beautiful wine estates with the most beautiful views. Walking around the lovely gardens you'll see squirrels and quite a few bird species. The estate offers a few places to pop in, such as the art gallery, coffee shop, market, restaurant or the tasting room.
