Explore our hillside garden and nature reserve with mountain views
We used to live in new zealand and travelled alot there so had high expectations when this claimed to be one of the most beautiful boranical gardens in the world. We were not dissapointed and genuinly consider this the highlight of our trip. Safe and peaceful thought that also comes at a cost of 270zar oer adult and 40zar per child (under 18).
So lucky to visit on such a beautiful day during winter. Enjoyed the gardens Great activity for all ages. Kids playing and enjoying the walks. Elderly enjoyed a stroll alongside the mesmerizing gardens. A romantic picnic next to the pond. Definitely a must see when visiting Cape Town
A lovely place to spend a few hours! 😍 There are plenty of benches to stop and rest, and the paved pathways make the gardens very wheelchair accessible. It's great to see the ongoing improvements, with many garden beds being refreshed and newly planted. The indigenous plant nursery is also fantastic if you're looking to take home a few new plant babies. Definitely worth a visit!
Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. The gardens are absolutely stunning, with breathtaking scenery, peaceful walking trails, and incredible views of the mountains. Everything is so well maintained, and it’s the perfect place to slow down, relax, and appreciate South Africa’s incredible natural beauty. Whether you’re visiting for a leisurely walk, a picnic, or simply to take in the views, this is a must-visit when you’re in Cape Town. We loved every minute of it!
Absolutely exceptional place. Beautiful selection of scenic points! Beautifully labelled descriptions of the plants along with some stunning landscapes. One should go with a pair of comfortable shoes and you'll be walking quite a lot. Really nice place to go with friends or plan dates, especially the fact that you can set yourself up a little picnic spot and just enjoy the views from the greens
