Great shopping center. But not foreign friendly as the free wi-fi center wide is only avail to people with South African mobile number. We found ourselves quite stuck being unable to get an Uber.
Best shopping in Cape Town. Diverse collection of shops with friendly clientele, small shops, best collection of couture boutiques and excellent coffee shops. I always go to Natasha, hairdresser at Partners for a good hair cut, have coffee at Bootleggers, buy hardware stuff at the store and gifts for the kitchen at Yuppie chef. Best of all, Wordsworth book store. You do not need to go anywhere else in Cape Town.
Gardens Centre is small from the outside, but a reasonable sized decent little mall once you enter. The design is light and airy, giving the impression of a bigger shopping centre with stores well-placed to maximise foot traffic. It also uses the common areas of the mall to maximise sales without causing traffic jams. There are clean bathrooms that are well-marked and for wheelchair users, the mall is accessible with a number of lifts. However, the parking could do with an upgrade as it doesn’t match the mall experience – it’s too congested – especially during busy times.
Very convenient! Everything you need to keep you in the neighbourhood. Relatively small but has all the variety and speciality of a large mall. I don’t know why I find it a little (just a little) depressing though.
