I went for the books on sale. its a wide selection and I appreciate he prices of the books and I love how its a luck of the draw format where one day you could find a GREAT book and others you may find meh okay books. the lady at the front was unfriendly which was strange because I greeted her warmly. it was raining outside and I bought a book and the one guard ran to me and said I must get a bag or the book will get damaged. great guy, he was so friendly. then when I went to ask for the bag her body language came off like it was a bother. Perhaps she was having a bad day, it was cold out and rainy. I'll return for the books on sale for sure! GREAT PRICE FOR THE BOOKS

Knowledgeable staff providing excellent service. The recommended books are expertly curated and the book stock is filed meticulously. Unfortunately for patrons and the the staff members there is a continual problem with the toilets. Please fix this so that this library can retain its premier position in the Cape Town library service. A bibliophile’s paradise!

Great selection for kiddies books. You can take out about 20 books for a month which is pretty decent. The library has activities for kids during the school holidays and they have a weekly program called pram jam on a Wednesday (if I’m not mistaken it’s at 10am) for the little ones. I find this amazing that they go out of their way to create love of reading for kids. My little one loves going to the library and running around outside after. The librarians are friendly and super helpful.
