Do NOT buy textbooks from Caxton Books. I placed an order in January, and it is now April—nearly a full school term later—and I still haven't received my books. To make matters worse, their delivery service is now claiming I wasn't available to receive the order and that they attempted to call me. This is a blatant lie as I have no missed calls or messages. Dealing with them has been a nightmare of delays and dishonesty. Absolute scam artists—avoid at all costs!
What's with the repeated automated order confirmations in my email? My order was fulfilled back in January. Re look your voucher story because if you don't have a book refund so I can go look somewhere else. You can also improve on customer service especially when doing order enquiries.
Shocking service - this is the 3rd year I have ordered books for school and only some books arrive, the rest take weeks, and they do not respond to emails requesting an approximate date of arrival. This year one of the books has taken so long (I still do not have it), my daughter has had to make photocopies from a friend, as they are busy with the book. When I email to ask when I can expect to receive the book, I just get ignored. Let's see if I get a better response if I phone them. I can guarantee you that this year I will be sourcing the books from other vendors as they obviously do not need my business.
Ordered from Caxton all books were in stock. Received two books cancelled the 3rd one and ordered from takealot. Still awaiting my refund a month later. Being dealing with Tracy. Went there a half hour ago and the finance lady is out today so they can't assist. Asked for the manager and told he is out on deliveries. A full month no communication and no refund and yes I emailed as well with no response at all. Really bad customer service. Will never use them again and won't refer people to them either. Now the ongoing issue for my money.
Placed orders in November. Part delivered. No communication as to ETA for outstanding books. No responses to email enquiries and the school year has already begun. Managed to call and speak to someone but seems like no system in place to work through the backorders. Probably best to use another company for the future.
