Knowledge and entertaining guide. Fascinating details and quirky historical facts, supplemented by poetry, pros and a good dose of banter and humour. As a local, I was surprised to learn how much I did not know about the place where I live and how many interesting reminders of the past went unnoticed until our guide pointed them out and told their story and explained their significance. Even my father, who is a history buff, was amazed by Cameron's in depth and specific knowledge. My father and I were enthralled for the full three hours and will definitely be attending future tours.

Cameron’s tours are absolute magic. The way he travels in time makes you feel truly connected to history, and empowers you to reflect on and imagine change in familiar spaces. He is extremely knowledgeable and a joy to learn from. Don’t think twice! Time travel!

Loved the tour of Oranjezicht. Even on a drizzly day, walking the hills and dales of Oranjuezicht was a pleasure with the engaging Cameron leading the way and telling all the tales of yesteryear. Thorouhgly enjoyed the afternoon!

I joined Cameron’s tour today from Muizenberg to Kalk Bay and I have to say it was one of the best tours I’ve ever done. What really makes it special is Cameron himself. You can immediately tell that he is not just doing this as a job. He is genuinely passionate and curious about everything he talks about. It goes way beyond the usual level. He doesn’t just focus on the big picture or the typical highlights, but really dives into the details. Whether it’s history, architecture, or even small things like tiles or window shapes, he notices and explains things most people would completely overlook. At the same time, he has a very deep understanding of the historical context. He reads from books, shares stories, and even brings in poetry that fits the places you visit, which makes the whole experience feel much richer and more personal. What I also really appreciated is that he doesn’t just repeat standard narratives. He questions things, points out where stories might be simplified or even wrong, and connects historical topics to what’s happening in the world today. The pace of the tour was just right. It never felt rushed or too slow, and everyone seemed engaged from start to finish. He also speaks clearly and loudly enough so that everyone can follow, even without a microphone. What stood out the most to me is the passion he brings across. I actually joined another tour with him before, and you can tell how much time and effort he puts into constantly improving and developing his tours. He really cares about understanding everything in depth and sharing that with others. It’s not just about giving information. He manages to share his enthusiasm in a way that makes you genuinely interested as well. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

We joined Cameron's Company Gardens walking tour last year and never before did I learn SO MUCH about this city's heritage! Cameron is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about all things Cape Town and luckily has this paired with the skill to tell it in an engaging way! Now I can't wait to join for more tours while I'm back in town!
