Hosting drama, music, and dance in a 1970s complex
Loved the show (Mamma Mia) but Artscape needs to step up their service. Shockingly bad service at the bar upstairs before the show (clueless and slow), allowing people into the theatre who are 15-20min late and it took us 20min+ to get out of the underground parking after the show. Bottleneck with only one gate open! It spoilt the whole evening and not difficult to get it right.
Had such an amazing experience at the Artscape Theatre Centre watching Pretty Woman. The production was absolutely incredible — from the set design to the performances, everything was so well executed and truly brought the story to life. A fantastic night out and such a high-quality theatre experience.
It was an exceptional ecperience!!! Beautiful theatre..very well planned. More than enough under cover parking for lots and lots of cars. We watched Pretty Woman..and i was NOT dissapointed! Let me tell you...that show was out of this world!
It’s always a pleasure visiting the Artscape, the shows are consistently amazing and well worth it. That said, getting out after a performance can be quite a mission. There are long queues at the pay stations, followed by even longer queues just to exit the parking garage. A helpful improvement would be clearer signage at the boom gates on entry, informing visitors that they can pay for parking upfront at the pay stations. Tip: Pay for your parking when you arrive to avoid the post-show rush.
We conveniently Ubered to the Artscape so that we could enjoy a glass of wine in the foyer before the show. Finding our seats was easy and the show started on time. We had a live orchestra/band for the musical we watched, and the sound was great. During interval, I visited the toilets and they were clean and well maintained. It's typical that there's generally a queue durung an interval anywhere. We loved the show. My only negative is that the stage smoke gave me a headache. This is a great theatre and I can recommend the shows there as real quality productions.
