Local favorite for breakfast and lunch, open weekdays from 6:30 AM
Poped in for breakfast with my other half .Had a latte x2 .Because it was a fasting day, I opted for the cheese and tomato sandwich toasted that comes with a side order of fries. Sandwich a 3/5. Sadly, the frys were too oily, and over fried quality of the potato leaves a lot to be desired. My other half had an open sandwich on sour dough bread 5/5, and I can vouch for that as I had a taste .Services from our coffee guy sorry didn't get his name was 6/5.
Visited the smaller Branch at the Ballito Farmers Market. Was bitterly disappointed with the breakfast. Ordered a simple smashed avo toast. The bread was warmed in a pan with the chefs hands being used to turn the bread. While I was watching the pancakes being made were also being turned using bare hands. No gloves or utensils in sight. When I got my breakfast I had to ask for lemon and add the condiments that were said to come already on the toast. When I bit into the bread it was lukewarm at best- definitely not anywhere close to ‘toast’. Really dissatisfied with the lack of hygiene and care taken in making the breakfast to be served to paying customers. Chefs and barista were more interested in their own conversation than actually focusing on making their products the best they can be. Wouldn’t recommend purchasing a breakfast from here.
Amazing service yesterday from Thabiso, had to come back today. His signature footprint in our coffee brightened up a stressful day. A small touch that shows his passion and dedication, along with his good humour! This will definitely be our regular coffee/breakfast spot!
Enjoyed my visit here. The setting is quiet and it’s an ideal place for a business meeting or casual get together. They have a variety of health-conscious options in the food and drinks. The owner was friendly and came over to make (unobtrusive) small talk with my friend and I, while our waitron was attentive and friendly. Being set at the sports field of a primary school, there was a buzz of activity around lunchtime as parents (mainly moms) came to pick up their kids and came into the establishment for a bite. But this wasn’t distracting on the day. Looking forward to paying the place a visit again
We decided to have a breakfast here and I must say that I was so impressed with the food. Fresh, well prepared with fantastic flavours and finally a savoury waffle that is actually crispy....breakfast brioche bun outstanding and sweetcorn fritters from heaven. We will definitely return.
