Hi. This is a suggestion. I was at Ballito food lovers. Some of the things I bought were 400gX 3 cheese and 2X1l spring meadow yogurt. When I double checked at home I realized that I was charged normal prices. With cheese i suppose because they were still stocking the fridges and I took 1 6 months matured and 2-3months matured. My suggestion is May the cashiers just confirm with us if we're buying the combo specials. Thanks. Buyi.
Visited this Food Lovers and was impressed by the variety they offer — shelves full of options that make shopping enjoyable. They also ran a week‑long R10 special, which was such great value. The highlight for me was definitely their milk tarts: fresh, creamy, and absolutely delicious!
Dear Manager, I will change my review when my concerns are addressed. The "Recycling" Problem: There is a limited selection of healthy meals, and what you do offer is clearly made from expired produce. You are charging R54.99 to R59.99 for salads made with old lettuce and tomatoes. It is obvious these are prepared the night before using stock that is already past its prime. Smoothie Counter Neglect: The station is unmanned before 8:00 AM. When someone finally arrives, they use yesterday’s leftover, brown, and fermented fruit. I’ve seen the same pineapple sitting in the bowl for days. Poor Preparation: Sandwiches are soggy because they are made the night before and assembled incorrectly. A sandwich with tomato must have the tomato placed between the filling and the lettuce to act as a barrier; otherwise, the bread becomes moist and inedible. Also, sandwiches are made with already expired and soggy lettuce/tomato, Value Gap: Pick n Pay and Checkers offer much fresher healthy options that actually last a few days in the fridge. Your "healthy" options at Food Lover's are stale the moment they are purchased. I think you have crossed the line regarding selling old stock at this point. There is potential here for great weight-loss meals, but you cannot expect customers to pay premium prices for "recycled" waste and poor assembly. I look forward to seeing these standards addressed. I truly hope you will address these issues soon as I do want to shop there for my daily health options.
Food Lovers reminds me of how grocery stores used to be. There are so many options and good prices, I could spend an hour just perusing the aisles. You can even purchase fresh flowers, herbs and specialty teas that you don't see in other places. Their watermelon is much sweeter, with a texture that feels "real" like watermelon I ate as a kid...unlike whatever is being sold as "watermelon" in the other places. I really can't rave enough about Food Lovers. I find it to be a nice break from the same basic products sold at the other two chain grocery shops.
A convenient fresh produce with all the necessary. A wide range of fresh produce, meat and other food needs. Also a very extensive bakery & butchery. Most of everything for any meal. Attention was brought to the folk but there is still no public toilet in this center. The Circle has been in operation for years but with no public facilities. The Food Lovers store in itself is good for shopping with all cooking supplies
