Our date kicked off at Sugar Rush Park, and honestly, this place is a full-blown activity buffet. It’s one of those spots where everyone is catered for—kids, couples, adrenaline junkies, and parents who just want five minutes of peace. The park offers a jungle gym area for little ones, zipline-style activities, hiking and biking trails, and of course, putt putt—which is what pulled us in this time. Beyond the activities, there’s a surprising amount going on: a mini princess spa, a raw honey and leather store, NASCAR-style drifting go-karts, and food options including a restaurant and a Smaque Stack stall that’s halaal. You could easily spend an entire day here without repeating a single thing. Now, let’s talk about the putt putt. This is a 19-hole course and let me just say—it is not for the faint-hearted. This isn’t your casual, knock-the-ball-and-smile situation. It requires actual skill. The kind that makes grown adults question their coordination and competitive streaks. That said, it’s still loads of fun, with clever variations that keep things interesting rather than frustrating. Pricing is reasonable, especially considering how much space and entertainment you get. The park itself is spacious and relaxed, perfect for kids to run wild, and you can even bring your own bikes. One of the unexpected highlights? Free-roaming chickens. There’s a small coop, and the kids were absolutely delighted carrying around little chicks—farm vibes included at no extra charge. Yes, the Durban heat was doing the absolute most that day, but despite the sweat and sun, we had a great time (evidence proudly documented in photos). All in all, Sugar Rush Park is a fun, family-friendly outing with way more to offer than just one activity—and definitely worth the visit if you’re up for a little challenge and a lot of fresh air.

We went to the tree trail for the zip line and it was sooo much fun. Scary at first but very fun. I like how this one Guy was sooo patient with my friend and our group and nje, big ups to him 🙌🙌🙌 They gave us water too and we needed that badly.

The tree trail was the best. Took my 8 year old and 16 year old kids and they loved it. It is challenging but the support staff was amazing 👏

Great place to take kids of all ages, especially if it's not beach weather! There are plenty of activities to choose from (cycling, go cart racing, archery, scratch patch, putt putt etc.). While entrance is free, you pay for most activities. The play park is free though. Putt putt was lots of fun but clearly designed by a sadist because it was extremely hard/impossible at time. Lots of laughs were had when someone had to fish their ball out of the water. Super average toilets though: there is no universal access, no parents toilets and the only changing station is a table in the middle of the shared hand washing area.
