Contemporary accommodation steps from Parliament and the CBD in Thorndon
Arrived early and rooms were ready. Staff were helpful. Parking was $28 per night for a very awkward park. I dread to think how some of the cars parked there were going to get out 😕 The rooms were nicely appointed. When we got back to the hotel we found a handy table at the bar at which we could have a meal in front of a large screen and watch the next rugby game. The meal was very tasty
We rarely stay in hotels so last weekend was a lovely treat for us and we enjoyed WQ! Started out strong with a room upgrade - big thanks to Rahul - all staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, esp. the bed. Easy location to stroll or scoot into town. Generous breakfast. Would stay again 🙂
Stayed overnight at the hotel during a visit to Wellington. The location and overall service were decent, but the rooms are in need of a significant upgrade. It’s fine for a one-night stay, but not ideal for anything longer in its current condition. The room for four felt quite cramped, and the bathroom was dated.
The location was fine, as was the buffet breakfast. I couldn’t sleep as there was a small security light that was unable to be turned off in the room. (It was right above the bed) I had to stand on the bed and slip a piece of paper over it to get any rest. Strange design for lighting in a hotel.
Important note! There is no air con. The beds are comfortable, you're in a prime spot with parking options and can add the buffet breakfast (which is pretty tasty) as well. For the price you pay, the breakfast and the central easy access to the waterfront its definitely worth staying here, just probably not in the peak of summer, there are a few fans which made it still a great stay, there are heaters for the winter as well.
