Local grocery store in Newtown, Wellington, offering pickup and delivery
This used to be my favourite supermarket, but I no longer feel safe visiting. There are homeless people by nearly every entrance, including inside the building. On one occasion, I was bothered by a man, and there was no security or staff in sight. Because of this experience, I would not go there again.
Alright but couldnt a few items because no stock left. Food prices have gone up.
Large supermarket with a great range of products. I found it clean and well organised. Fresh fruits and vegetables, deli meals, in-store bakery, and specials are some of the major advantages. There is a bus stop just in front of the main entrance, which is very convenient if you're using bus to get there or get home.
Countdown is probably one of the best food stores out there, they sell the most exquisite food ever. The staff are an easy job to buy the food with, and they have a amazing service. Countdown has lots of food very helpful for anytime, and if there are any bored children, there is a small place for them. I think Countdown is an amazing supermarket that is very helpful lots of times.
From outside the shop looks small but it's actually huge as any other countdown store and has almost everything you need for your daily grocery. The wine, fruits and vegetables and meat section is good. The other items are not very properly labelled so you might need to search or ask for her otherwise it is good. Parking is available at the basement.
