Wellington Indian Association (Inc)

Wellington Indian Association (Inc) is a cultural association in Wellington. We serve as the home for Indian culture in Wellington, operating Bharat Bhavan and Gita Mandir. Established in 1925, our team offers a Women's Book Club on the first Thursday of every month and new health and fitness classes. We are working with the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa on a project to trace ancestry, identifying portraits of forefathers and foremothers from the 1930s. Our history is also explored in the book "100 years of the Wellington Indian Association," available for purchase. Bharat Bhavan is open daily, and books can be purchased at our office during office hours.
