Walk-in urgent medical care with an orthopedic specialist and onsite plastering
The doctor was kind and professional, but the overall experience was disappointing. We waited over four hours while my wife’s condition got worse. The wait time was unacceptable, and the nurses were rude and lacked compassion. I hope the medical centre improves its patient care and waiting times.
Don't waste your time or money, just go straight to ED. Dr Malik was incredibly rude and dismissive of some quite serious concerns, and accused me of having an "attitude" because I didn't know the answers to some of his questions (while experiencing acute and significant pain/discomfort). Symptoms brushed off were later validated as severe and requiring urgent intervention by ED. EDIT: Upon reviewing clinical notes later, they were also wildly incorrect and outright missing about 50% of the key/important info & symptoms discussed in the appointment. I am appalled.
On March 12, 2026, I attended an in-person consultation with Dr. Elisenda Botella Ruiz regarding a shoulder pain ( which i had a history of narrowing of spine in previous MRI) following a preliminary telephone assessment. The symptoms presented included shoulder pain radiating to the back, accompanied by headaches and ear pain. The consultation lasted approximately 40 minutes, with 30 minutes dedicated to history-taking and data entry, and 10 minutes to a physical examination. I was charged a consultation fee of $183 based on the duration of the appointment with analgesics prescribed. Really Disappointed with the consultation.its the first time experiencing rude behaviour in Acc. Staff were so approachable and they collected my irine sample which the doctor dont aware about it.
I had a very upsetting experience at the After Hours Clinic on Adelaide Road in Wellington last week and would strongly advise others to avoid seeing Dr Elisenda Botella Kniz (also known as Dr Eli). I attended the clinic after a serious accident where I suffered a concussion and had cuts that were bleeding. I was already stressed, confused, and shaken. Instead of receiving support and reassurance, I was treated in a dismissive and rude manner. When I asked questions about concussion symptoms and what to expect after a head injury, I was told, “I have multiple other patients to attend to so you can Google that.” I explained politely that I was paying for a consultation to ask medical questions, not to Google them myself, but she repeated that she didn’t have time and told me to look it up online. When I mentioned that the ambulance staff had said I had a concussion, she responded grumpily, “Am I the doctor or is the ambulance?” Her tone throughout was passive-aggressive and dismissive, even though I was simply trying to explain what I’d been told because I was confused after the accident. I am a young girl living away from home for the first time so I asked a simple question about ACC, as I wasn’t sure how it worked, she laughed and said, “You’re this many years old, a NZ citizen, and you don’t know how ACC works? I cant help you" She then opened the door to indicate I should leave. I walked out crying and still had to pay $90 for the consultation. I understand doctors are under pressure, but that does not justify treating patients – especially young patients who have just had a traumatic accident with disrespect and sarcasm. I left feeling humiliated, unsupported, and more distressed than when I arrived. I don't want anyone else to experience this as it's a terrible thing to have to go through. Take Care.

Compared to other doctors I've seen throughout my life, his attention to detail stood out remarkably. He was precise, focused, and genuinely committed to understanding my needs. I didn't feel like just another number in the queue—there was a real human connection, and his enthusiasm for helping was evident. Just a few hours after being treated by him in the ambulance, I came home feeling better than I had in seven days. I'd been relying on painkillers that entire week, but after his treatment, I didn't need any. Last night was the first time I slept without them. I'm still experiencing some issues like sweating, but the improvement has been significant. I also appreciated that he took the time to cross-check everything with another doctor—that extra care made a real difference. Please take good care of this doctor and keep him on your team. He's exceptional. Send him my warmest greetings and deepest thanks.
