Super friendly and kind staff, and delicious kai (food)! Highly (highly) recommend the bread and butter pudding and the vegetarian curry. Was thinking about them last night hoping I’d be back in Pōneke (Wellington) soon so I could come back. 🥹 We (Dad and I) were in Pōneke for two nights (7-8 Jul 2026) and came here for dinner both nights. 😁 We were looking at all the bars closest to us and I really liked the look of the pudding in another review. It did not disappoint, and I don’t often eat dessert. 🍨 For transparency I did try the prawn roll another night with fries - it looked awesome and was tasty but it could have been a bit hotter in my opinion, but I just love this place and would highly recommend it to anyone! That was the same night I tried the bread and butter pudding, so I was happy. Perhaps the meal lost it’s heat while I was taking photos. 😆 Cozy comfy space and well patronised. Although it is busy, it isn’t too loud. The booth was my favourite seating area we tried. Hope to see y’all again soon!! Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou!! Thank you all so much. 😁

We have come to The Old Bailey a few times now, for drinks and for lunch and dinner and we have really enjoyed it. The chairs can be abit uncomfortable if your there for hours, but I guess if you drink more you won't feel it so much. Food has always been good, had a few assorted dishes and been fairly happy with them. The Fish and Chips are really nice, and also the Ceasar Salad, good serving size as well. Its a really good atmosphere, probably worth making a booking if you go at night, does get busy, even lunch time gets fairly hectic if there is sports on. Plenty of large flat screen Tvs to watch the sports especially if major games on, crowd really gets into it. Can order meals and drinks via the QR Codes on the tables, which is great, you don't have to keep getting up and fight through the crowd, or your can order at the counter if you prefer. Great Sports Bar, would definitely recommend

We had a really nice experience — service was amazing and the team were great. It was a busy Thursday night when we arrived, so booking is definitely a must during peak hours 🙌. The staff were awesome and helped us grab a table despite the rush. The food overall was decent 👌. I had the ribs, which were nice but could've used a little extra. The cob loaf was yummy, though it could've been a bit bigger. The skin-cut fries were acceptable but could've had a touch more crunch. To finish, the apple pie with ice cream and custard hit the spot! Overall, a great experience at The Old Bailey Bar. Thanks to the amazing team 🙌

What a great location! We visited the first night when it was packed, but even then the atmosphere and energy were amazing. I highly recommend booking a table in advance, but we were lucky and the server found us one. We visited again in the morning (hence the pictures) and enjoyed a full English breakfast with a refreshing long black coffee. The tables and washroom were clean, the food was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend that if you have limited time here in NZ, you make this one of your must-visits!

We made reservations for dinner and had a fantastic time! We had the steak frites, King prawn roll and the Bread and Butter pudding (My favorite of the bunch). Our server Katy was so lovely and friendly. We definitely felt taken care of!
