Came here on Sunday night to watch a jazz band. It's great here, very much a library vibe. It's a great place for a vibe and drink, and their desserts are dangerously good. Had a creme brulee and hot chocolate while I was here, both were real good. Took a slice of cheesecake back to my room i was staying in and had it on Monday night, only thing it was missing was the biscuit base otherwise it was great.

Been a favourite of mine for a long time, used to frequent when living in Wellington. The cocktails are creative, and thoughtfully crafted. They’re on the pricier side, but you can tell a lot of care goes into each one, which makes it feel worth it for a treat. If you’re after somewhere intimate, a little different, and full of character, this spot absolutely delivers. Vibe is cool!

Dropped in for a cocktail before heading to dinner nearby. Ended up racing back after dinner. What a vibe! Returned the following night with friends. Great cocktails, a good whiskey selection, and superb live jazz both nights.

Quirky, fun place you could easily miss if you weren't looking for it. Almost secretive entrance up a narrow set of stairs with a reception spot often missed on a quiet evening like when we were there. But once inside, it's great. We had a couple drinks and some dessert, which were great. There were three other groups, ranging from couples to a group of four. Living up to its name, there are bookshelves on the wall, a well-stocked bar, velvety decor, and a corner area where local bands play on weekends. It felt very "speakeasyish".

You MUST visit this bar when in Wellington! The vibes inside were immaculate, cozy, comforting and took you back in time to a 30s Jazz Bar. We arrived early on a Friday night and got seated without a booking although I would recommend booking if arriving after 6. The cocktails were creatively crafted with plenty to choose from. The service was friendly and professional. Can’t wait to return!
