Hotel in Wellington
My new favourite place to stay in Wellington, right in the heart of the city. You’re surrounded in the best restaurants and bars, with one even on the bottom floor. But when it’s time to retreat to the room, it’s quiet and extremely comfortable. Solid nights sleep, and all the little touches don’t go unnoticed, such as snacks and lux fixtures. Will be back soon 👍🏻
Highly recommend staying here and the service is impeccable! I've stayed at numerous cookie-cutter hotels and the Art Deco / Industrial vibe was a great of fresh air. Walking distance to most everything you want or need and very easy to get to. Perks such as in-room snacks and drinks are a major plus, but the free laundry was the topper value-add for us. Customer service is Top Notch and we will always stay here whenever we visit Wellington in the future.
We loved this little hotel. Very stylish (industrial chic?) and large room (106). Cool bar downstairs with good youthful vibe. Great location just off Cuba pedestrian walking area.
LOVED this hotel! The room was great: spacious, comfortable, well-appointed (a separate toilet and shower!) and well-designed. The layout of the room is great and felt very roomy. They provide comfy robes and complimentary snacks in the room, plus complimentary sparkling and still water on tap in the hallway of the floor of your room. This is incredible! Such a perk. In the morning, they also have complimentary coffee easily accessible outside the room. The laundry room and ice machine is a great perk too. The puffin bar downstairs is awesome! And the staff are all super kind, friendly and accommodating. They made us feel right at home. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!
The Intrepid is a lovely hotel and in a great location. This night was a special treat to myself for a significant birthday. The bed was super comfortable and the decor lovely. The complementary snacks and bottle of wine were great, as were the robes and bathroom amenities. The service was good but I did need to give feedback on the shower which was only just warm and not a nice experience to use. It could be that I used it too late in the morning, after I’d been to the gym and just before I checked out, but I tried all settings and it just didn’t warm up. I gave this feedback and the staff member said she’d look into it. I did pay full price for the room so it was disappointing not to have a really nice warm shower to end my stay. So only a 4 star review. I would stay again if I could be assured of a good hot shower.
