I visited this restaurant after reading reviews that described it as a nice place with a good atmosphere, conveniently located near our hotel. I ordered the Roast 'n' Roll. The mustard sauce served with it was delicious, but unfortunately the beef was far too tough, which was disappointing. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant overall.

I really enjoyed The Featherston and ended up eating here several times during my stay in Wellington. The food was simple, well-cooked and consistently tasty, with a menu that had plenty of options. The service was friendly and efficient every time I visited. I also liked that you could choose between the bar area if you wanted to watch the sport, or the restaurant section if you were after a quieter meal. It gave the place a nice, relaxed feel. The beer was cold, reasonably priced, and the venue was easy to find. Overall, it was a great spot for a casual meal and drink, and I'd happily come back the next time I'm in Wellington.

Loved our family gathering at The Featherston. Good old fashioned pub with great service and a menu to suit all tastes. Everyone enjoyed their meals, esp the extra free Yorkshire Puddings with the Sunday roast option. I ordered the smoked fish and if the fish wasn't so heavily over salted, the meal would've been perfect. However, I would go back again.

This is one of those places where I almost always say “YES”! Every time I come here, I have an amazing time. The place always seems busy, full of happy people, lots of laughter, and amazing vibes — it just has that warm, lively energy that makes you feel instantly welcome. Somehow — maybe lucky timing — I’ve always managed to grab a table, and that’s part of the fun. The menu is really interesting, with a great mix of drinks and main dishes. Not super cheap, but definitely affordable for the quality you get. I’ve tried the fish and chips, beef schnitzel, and a bunch of other dishes — everything has been absolutely delicious. They often bring free homemade treats to your table, and honestly, they make the experience so great. Even though they’re technically “treats,” they look and taste almost like a main dish — so filling, tasty, and beautiful...It’s such a thoughtful touch that really adds to the fun and friendly vibe. Love it!! The atmosphere here is just fantastic. Customers are always smiling, chatting, and laughing, and the background music adds to the fun, chill vibe. It’s that perfect mix of friendly, casual, and full of life. One of my favourite things? After eating and drinking, you can have a bit of fun at the pokie machines — a quirky little bonus that adds to the good times. It’s just another reason this place feels special and memorable ;) I absolutely love coming here — whether it’s a catch-up with friends, a casual meal, or just a place to enjoy the great vibes, it never disappoints. If you’re in Wellington, this place is a must-visit!

Lovely cosy warm atmosphere and delicious meals! The staff were lovely & attentive too. We had the mince beef pasty with gravy peas & carrots and the steak & Guinness pie with gravy, peas & mash. Lemon curd pudding for dessert. Just heavenly. On a cold, blustery spring evening, this was a welcoming end to the day. Give it a go!
