Barber shop in Wellington
Was in Wellington the weekend of 10-12 April. Popped in to get a haircut to support a mate who has a sarcoma and has been told it’s terminal. They gentlemen who cut my hair was amazing, gave a discount and told my friend and I who also had his hair cut to donate what he discounted us to the charity related to our mate. The both us of us were stoked with our number 2 cuts as well. Definitely will come back again.
I wish I grabbed the name of the guy who did my hair (all I remember is he had been working in wellington for around 30 years) but this is the best haircut I’ve had in ages! I was very nervous after a recent haircut disaster at a different barbershop but he was very thorough, paid great attention to detail, and made my hair look exactly like the picture. I definitely recommend coming here for a haircut!
It's a nice place, has a great owner and location. Good if you want a cookie cutter haircut, but bad if you want anything else. For example: "Please don't touch the top, I am growing it out, only cut the sides" Proceeds to take off half the hair on the top "Can you box out this bit on the front" Barber answers, "I don't like doing that" and then doesn't do it. "Can you give me a gentle line on my beard that I can follow with the razor" Proceeds to fully fully shape my beard (went from a full beard to a thin line that wrapped my face, didn't ask for a shape, just lining it up) I get the customer isn't always right etc, but I am the one that has to live with this hair, and it is very much not what I wanted or requested.
Loved it! Awesome cut! Would recommend and will be going back. Have been going here to see Corey for nearly 2 years now. Awesome and consistent. Always does an amazing job. And cool banter. 2023 update: Corey still doing awesome cuts 🤙5⭐
Was recommended this place by my brother. Called in close to closing...no probs! As a wahine used to skin fades they cut my long locks and asked me every step of the way if I liked the result. Friendly staff, easy conversation, reasonable pricing. Recommended!
