Truly wonderful experience from start to finish! The food is absolutely delicious (simple food done brilliantly) The staff are SO nice and professional! They are even dog friendly (and they have a non-dog section if you're allergic) I'm a local and this is quite possibly my favorite cafe in the Wellington region - don't miss it!
Great coffee and cabinet food, I always love the portuguese tarts, pies are so yum and you can buy them frozen too for later. A special mention for the fenced children’s play area with toys at the back of the cafe. It’s so nice to know your children can play somewhere without disturbing others. It’s always tricky visiting cafes with toddlers but Blue Belle have gone the extra mile to be accomodating. Thank you so much
Really cool vibe at the Blue Belle and a very busy Sunday Morning on our visit. Food was good but not great. My wife found the hollandaise sauce a bit too strong. The pulled pork ciabata was tasty. Coffee is very good.
The Blue Belle had come very highly recommended by somebody who is close to me. And as a self proclaimed pie connoisseur, I booked in a lunch visit. A lovely little Cafe in the heart of the Island Bay shopping center. Lots of friendly staff, and best of all, incredible food. I ordered the steak and cheese pie and the wife a Bacon and Egg, as per usual! The highlight of the pie is the pastry. Light and flakey, moist and delicious. And then we have the pie filling, the freshest produce and a perfect balance of flavors. We also had 2 flat whites and this was very good and the perfect addition to a cold day. Pop on down for a pie, it'll change your day.
Disappointed. I've been here before and the food was above average. This time my pie disintegrated into a unrecognizable, uneatable mess as the mince filling was way too liquid and the pastry was uncooked. Mocha was very much like another incarnation of hot chocolate.
