Medical clinic in Wellington
Always push you on to a nurse practitioner. I got assaulted with blood vessels damage to my eye. I'd like to see a doctor, sorry no one's available but you can see a nurse practitioner. I think my eye is past a nurse practitioner bro. That was the final straw. No longer a patient
"We work to assist those in Wellington’s inner-city, with low or no income, and with other barriers to accessing health care." - These are words found on TAHC website, it says nothing about strict zoning rules anywhere but I called to enrol and was declined cause I live the suburb over. ("works with an extensive range of the more vulnerable populations within central Wellington and surrounding suburbs." - TAHC website) Their apparent low costs and accessible health care for the vulnerable populations of Wellington, is apparently not accessible for a bipolar, unemployed, disabled person, they actually they told me to enrol down the road at a practice that is inaccessible for me. I think you should make it clear on your website you are only accessible to Te aro members and save my time... because I also had to call multiple times to even get through... but also do you just not accept the homeless if they aren't in te aro lol? or maybe i was just stereotyped over the phone straight away and dismissed, I chose this practice because my current practice is in the hutt valley and too expensive for me to get help when I need. "with low or no income, and with other barriers to accessing health care, to achieve and maintain good health."... damn really thought i had come to the right place when i read this but i did also read that they had a terrible receptionist, i have to say, i agree. poor thing is letting down the whole clinic it seems. Hopefully future clients will not be let down as I have. My health is deteriorating fast and I am now stuck on what to do... I thought this was a miracle that I found this down the road from me, I guess not.
My regular practice. Been with them a long time. Fantastic staff and top notch service.
Just went for my first initial appointment, very relieved to see a pride sticker there and the nurse practitioner is awesome very thorough, kind and understanding and caring, highly recommend.
Te Aro Health Centre offer an amazing service and an experienced team ensuring the needs of the most marginalised people in Wellington are met. They operate a satellite clinic here at DCM. They do life-saving work and we couldn't do what we do without them. Kia ora team!
