Owners are super rude, they are aggressive and controlling. If you want to man handle everything don’t own a motel. On the plus side, the cleaners were lovely

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with the spa bath. My little family really enjoyed their stay. The fact that Wakefield hospital(where my mum was), was only a couple of minutes up the road made this stay feel even better. Beds were comfortable, the kids loved having their very first spa bath and it felt homely. My children have asked to return again some day. Thank you

Excellent place to stay, lovely clean and comfortable rooms. The room could do with a little heater but that would be the only improvement. Staff are very lovely, bathroom so nice & modern. Very convenient to the hospital, supermarket, barber, massage & beauty. Will book again. Thank you Southgate Motor Inn.

Lovely owner. Convenient location for visiting patients in the regional hospital. We had to extend our stay twice & they were very helpful, friendly & accommodating. This meant less stress for the patient too. We were in a 2 bedroom studio with a king bed +3 single beds, a kitchenette with cookware & utensils, a lounge & dining area + a spacious bathroom. Parking is also available. Some daily servicing. Can be a bit noisy but otherwise a safe hotel. There is also a small lift available for patients if unable to use the stairs :) There is a Woolworths supermarket not too far away.

I have been staying here for a little over a week to be near the hospital, and Elika has been a wonderful hostess. The bed in the studio access suite is very comfortable, the amenities are great and the wonderful culture of Newtown is right outside. I am not a wheelchair user but there is disability parking right outside the ground-floor studio, the bathroom is comfortable and roomy with a shower chair and I can imagine it will fit the needs of most disabled people visiting for relatives or their own medical care
