Designated off-leash exercise area for dogs in Wellington
This reserve is split into 3 unmarked sections. Dog off lease area/children's play area/general flat grassy area. It is unfenced & runs alongside the road, so only good for controlled dogs, or they may nip onto the road & be hit by a vehicle. (Perhaps the same for young kids?!).
A great place to take the dog for a run. The grass is kept fairly short. The only down side is that there is no barrier between the park and the road so you may have some trouble if your dog doesn't listen you your commands. So far I have had no incident of dogs fighting. A lot of new friends have been made. A lot of new dogs are been brought to the park.
Bit of shade, bit of sun. Lots of local dog users.
