Set three-course menu and wine selection in Aro Valley
We went in with high expectations, and somehow they were still exceeded. I treated my partner to a birthday dinner at Rita and from the moment we walked in, the food, service, and atmosphere had us grinning from ear to ear. Every dish felt thoughtful and beautifully balanced, and the staff made the whole experience feel genuinely special without ever being over the top. One of those meals you keep talking about long after you leave. Can’t wait to come back.
My experience was first class, 5 star ! It’s no wonder this little gem has two hats. Iris was an amazing server ! I was confused about the cutlery drawer situation but soon worked it out that the waiter didn’t forget to put cutlery on the table it was in the open drawer for me to get myself. As the food looked so amazing I didn’t wait too long without getting out my own cutlery and begin eating !! I would definitely return again. When I told Iris I was visiting from Australia she gave me a little list of Rita’s favourite places to visit in Wellington. Places on that list will need to wait until next visit. I’ll be back to WLG and will be back without haste to Rita !!
Our first time at this beautiful little gem in the heart of Te Aro, Wellington. Food was sublime, seasonal and beautifully presented. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and first class. An absolute winner in our view. A brilliant model with a set three course menu that had some extras available. Great wine selection. Would very happily return and can highly recommend to anyone wanting a first class, fine dining experience.
We had a lovely time dining at Rita. The service was very friendly, professional, and attentive. The restaurant is set in a cute narrow building and they make good use of the space. The design is minimalist. We enjoyed all our dishes. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, but you’re not coming here for quantity. It’s about the quality and pairing of the ingredients. You’ll still leave feeling full. Would easily recommend to anyone looking for something new and different. Note the menu changes regularly, I think even daily. Whatever is on the menu that day is what you’ll get. Great if you struggle to make decisions!
The beef tasted like mint and nothing else. The fish tasted like nothing. The dessert tasted like nothing. The duck pasta ravioli thing was awesome. The asparagus tempura was awesome. Good wine match.
