Relaxed units with kitchenettes and complimentary Wi-Fi
Great central location. Elevator is scary plus you can hear it in the bedroom coming up and down. Fans should be on offer as a form of AC. Outdated furniture that came with a squeak. TV has no way of connecting to devices. For some reason there was no hand soap on. However the staff are easy to deal with and friendly
The location is fabulous and the exterior of the hotel is gorgeous. Although I believe they were trying to go with an art deco style in the room I was in, there was a mix of contemporary, mid century, art deco & more which meant none of it tied together. The bathroom was nearly the same size as the room. It was an odd shape & the fridge was hidden behind a cupboard but all the facilities needed were there.
It is a perfectly adequate inner city hotel with a quirky Art Deco theme. If you like character hotels this works - others may just see it as a room filled with second hand furniture. It's clean and functional and needs some minor TLC in the rooms, common areas are fine. We stayed here because of the location and the price and I feel we got value for money. The front desk service was warm and efficient. There is a 1 or 2 car loading zone right by the door so you can check in and then move your car to the parking garage nearby. Location wise you are right in the middle of town. You might get a peek of the Harbour area through the buildings, you probably wouldn't book here for the view. We visit Wellington for a mix of business, leisure and catching up with family so we don't spend much time in our hotel rooms so we would stay here again because of the location and price. We have stayed in worse in Wellington and paid more. See you there !
One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. There is mold right behind the bed. This is not fit for hosting people and should be inspected to see if it meets any standards at all. Don't ever stay here and save your money. Sleeping in a car would be luxurious in comparison. And way cleaner
Reception staff were excellent. Location was great for the TSB Arena. Parking is $39 per 24 hours using the Wilson underground parking at TSB Arena. There are no parking spaces outside this building so you have to wheel your case from wherever you park. The character of the hotel is special and charming. The apartment itself is in 3 distinct areas. Living arrangements with kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. The bed linen is clean and tidy. The bathroom is in need of a refurb and a good scrub, as is the kitchenette. Ants are in both areas. The sofa is sagging and rather uncomfortable. The carpet needs a deep clean. A good clean and updating equipment would go a long way. The room has tea and coffee supplies including a small pack of ground coffee for the plunger. The problem with this is there is no actual plunger in the room. If you are here for a week there’s a lack of cutlery, for one night it would be ok.
