Accommodation with kitchens, accessible features, and city center location
Serviceable midrange hotel, great location & pleasant staff. Apparently sky sport (a bloody certainty at any motel let alone a 4 star hotel) “only works in some rooms, dependent on cabling” as best I could understand it. Don’t pin your quiet night’s sports viewing on this place.
Solid stay with great service and location* Stayed at Park Hotel, Wellington for a couple nights. Location was perfect right in the city center, easy walk to everything. Can’t fault it there, 5/5. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly, responsive, and made check-in/check-out smooth. Really appreciated that. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and a good size for Wellington. Nothing fancy, but had everything I needed. Would give them 4/5 – just a few minor things could be updated, but nothing that affected the stay. Overall it’s a 3/5 for me because while the location and service were top notch, the room felt a bit out dated for the price. If you’re after convenience and good service in Wellington, it’s a solid choice.
Check-in and parking experience was very poor as completely unclear instructions were given by the lady on reception on how to access the reserved parking spot resulting in us almost scraping and damaging our hire car and rushing to make our dinner reservation. The room was ok but bathroom was very small and tap very impractical. Bedrooms were comfortable. No smart tv was disappointing considering the premises is not old.
We've stayed at many hotels/motels recently and it made it really easy to give a good review of this place. Room was clean and tidy, comfy bed, working AC unit. Loses points for no smart TV which is kinda sad for 2026. We had to connect a Chrome cast and use our mobile data to watch youtube, not a big deal just room for improvement. Only reason for losing a star on the room is the oddness of the Bathroom layout. The room is massive, but the bathroom by comparison was tiny, like a 75/25 split, which means you bang your arms on the wall when using the loo. Just a very odd design choice, as there was plenty of room to have made it bigger! Otherwise the hotel was great, we paid for a car park at the hotel and that was in of itself a huge plus as CBD parking can be a nightmare. I really wish we'd have had a room with a view of the ocean, will definitely arrange that next time we are down in Wellington. Happily will stay here again. Look forward to next time.
We stayed here twice. It's really convenient for the shops. The only big downside is the parking is super expensive. So factor that into the price. The room price is reasonable and there's free laundry. The cooking facilities in the studio were good. They're much better in the two bedroom one though! And the views were better in the two bedroom apartment.
