Our Wellington beachfront location for swimming, picnics, and walks
Beautiful, white sand beach! Definitely the best I saw while I was visiting Wellington. It was packed with people enjoying the warm ocean water and summer rays. It’s in an incredibly accessible location, right along one of the main streets. For sure worth a visit, especially on a hot day!
Always good. A little microclimate when the sun comes out even with a mild southerly, and entertaining waves on bad weather days. Lots of cafes nearby. I love being a beach bum here. The upcoming renovation of the pavilion will be great.
Great place to visit when it's not raining though expect throngs of people if the weather is nice as it's one of the prettier bays in the area.
A very picturesque beach overlooking the fountain and surrounding hills. The sand is a little coarse but still fine to sit on and there are a few restaurants nearby. There’s a small number of street vendors along the wall selling beach essentials but fortunately even on the weekend it wasn’t too crowded. A great spot in the city.
Good beach, not much crowds. White sand, blue waters, great views. Good place to laze around or have a swim.
