I went in on a busy Saturday night. It was a great experience. The reason it was so good was the bartender- who was called Louis. He made cocktails for our group with charisma and care. He spun a good yarn, and we will definitely be back to visit! 100% recommend.

This was a great spot for a drink whilst we waited for a drink at Margot (hence the name). Taking walk-ins only, the waiter kindly greeted us and let us know to order at the bar when ready. This seemed normal, however it was quite awkward approaching the bar which was fully occupied by guests sitting with their drinks. The drinks menu itself has an interesting and good range. I enjoyed seeing New Zealand natural/organic winemakers on the list, alongside many other options. This spot is great if you're waiting but would definitely be a great spot to visit in itself.

The perfect neighbourhood bar! Always amazing drinks and service... not to mention the delicious bar food that comes through the little window behind the bar! Check it out!

Great spot and potentially a personal favourite in town. The food is cooked up by the team "next door" at Margot and never misses. It's the drinks that make this spot so good though. The tap beers pour just right and taste fresh and the cocktails are twists, variations and refinements on some classics through the ages. If you like a refreshing beverage in a cosey (in winter) or sunny (in summer) spot, come here.

the beautifully curated spotify choices were great, I love that they don't use some generic playlist! Molly is the best bartender I've had the pleasure of encountering, I will gladly come back whenever I'm in Newtown :)
