Apparently the credit card machines here aren't working at the moment. But there is no signage around to let anyone know. Thoughtless for the new owners to not consider letting shoppers know about this before they reach the checkouts. The checkout staff here are also always busy having chats among themselves at the self checkouts and when you can eventually get attention theyre always so reluctant to help. Trying to run a sticker promo in this shop is hilarious, there's always a queue for them because no one takes the initiative to have them ready. And, the produce section in this supermarket is abysmal. This is our nearest local super market and we avoid it as much as possible.

A well run supermarket, mid-sized so there isn't always the range available at a larger store. Deli with some hot food, fish counter, butchery, bakery and Lotto all in-store. Beer and wine selection provides reasonable variety but probably doesn't stock every brand and variation available somewhere larger.

I used to work in Tawa a few years ago and would regularly stop for morning coffee and savouries. This store, along with the one in Thorndon, is among the best New World supermarkets in Wellington—mainly because I enjoy the vast selection of hot food. The bakery section is outstanding.

Excellent place to shop, gets a little busy after work but aisles are spacious enough to keep a comfortable shopping experience. I like the hot food section - it saves me from those "don't feel like cooking" nights. Staff are nice and helpful. It's place in the middle of Tawa high street just makes it more attractive to visits.
