Design-led boutique hotel on Wellington's Cuba Street
A great location and well presented rooms. Excellent service from staff and the daily upkeep of the room was amazing. The pool is not heated. We were able to check in without a hassle and the staff were incredibly helpful. Parking was NZ$35 per day and the elevator was handy because we parked our vehicle in the gated parking and went straight to our room. Overall a good experience and the stay in Naumi was great.
The good aspects first. It's relatively economic, the service is good and the location is convenient. However having stayed multiple times over the past 10 year's accurate to say they have issues with the water temperature. Every single time I've stayed the water (shower) has fluctuated and been inconsistent but biased towards hot, however on my latest stay it was scalding hot on the lowest setting. It'd be dangerous if it was a young child. I spoke to the concierge and he acknowledged they have "challenges" and working on a solution but it's been like this for year's. Overall it's a decent budget hotel but be mindful if you have kids as they could get seriously hurt.
Fun, funky hotel. Decor is like a combination Pee-wee's Playhouse and Beetlejuice. Friendly staff, clean room, great location. Good bar snacks and some of the best craft cocktails ever: unusual ingredients, perfectly balanced.
The ambiance of the hotel is just outstanding—nothing to complain about. The customer service received during the stay was so professional and friendly. The girl who checked me in on Friday was extremely friendly and made me feel on top of the world. The girl in training beside her was also so sweet.The team that was there the next morning on Saturday—the trainee girl and the guy—continued with that outstanding customer service. They lent me an umbrella, helped me out with useful information, and just made me feel important.
Great place to stay right in the city. Rooms are great. Breakfast totally disappointing. Went to Breakfast at 9, pretty much all food gone and no cutlery. Food came out about half an hour later, by then we had to leave. Lots of people staying obviously, but kitchen wasn't equipped for the numbers. Would definitely stay again, but not with Breakfast included.
