Booked months ago. Called during week of booking to ask about train/bus services close to motel was spoken to rudely and hung up on,was also charged 5 days before booking when stated no prepayment till arrived on booking date,rung & spoke to manager was abused,sworn at and told I could go find somewhere else to stay if I didn't like his rudeness and he was going to cancel because I wouldn't pay extra charges! Do not stay at this place if you don't want to be charged extra costs before arriving and abused/sworn at and called horrible names!

The rooms were new and clean and the location was also great, about 15 minutes walking distance from the Wellington CBD.

We stayed for 6 nights with no issues. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. Room serviced daily, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash was replenished daily. Fridge, Microwave and coffee making facilities. Lovely pillows and warm blankets. Great shower pressure and hot (R11) heater in room if needed, TV with Sky. Parking is tight and included. Motel is located on busy main road, expect road noise, wasn't an issue for us. Macas 2 min walk, Cuba street 10 minutes, Basin Reserve across the road.

We arrived early in the morning to drop our bags off, as confirmed via email at the time of booking. Despite this, the man we dealt with was extremely rude. He made a point of saying we had woken him at 7:30am, pointed at a sign saying they were not open, and when I mentioned the approved early bag drop, he responded by saying it “must have been my wife in a grump.” This comment was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. To make matters worse, we were overcharged, with an extra payment taken from my Visa card without my authorisation. This was genuinely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The owner clearly does not enjoy his job and is not suited to dealing with guests. I would not recommend staying here. The issues continued with the accommodation itself, the shower dripped all night, making it difficult to sleep, and the extra bed that was made up was extremely uncomfortable. It was so poor I wouldn’t even expect a toddler to sleep on it. Overall, a very disappointing experience from start to finish.
