Atmosphere was confusing decor mismatched didnt get an American vibe tbh but I've never been so what ever. People at the counter were nice. Food had stupid names (mama's big feed for papa, papas burger, sloppy burger, dirty bird) which was fun. We got mamas big feed because the name was funny and it was cheaper then getting two meals (kindoff) we are halfway through right now and I feel crazy. The ribs are kind Luke warm, I like the chicken burger, all the sauce makes me feel sick. This would he great if we had two extra people but its just me and my boyfriend. Also you will feel gross and disgusting eating sticky ribs with your fingers. We finished about half and then packed a take away box of chips. Would go again but would learn from my experience and order less.

This place made me feel like I was back in the US. The milkshakes & food portions were huge, I left stuffed, & the retro vibe with the airplane seats is so cute! My partner & I both got the Philly cheesesteaks, I got Cajun fries, he got curly. I had a banoffee shake & he had vanilla. The shakes were addictively delicious & they nailed Philly cheesesteaks: toasted bun, a ton of cheese, good beef & onions. The Cajun & curly fries were crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, aka great. My only critique would be adding a bit more seasoning to the Cajun fries, but they were still quite tasty!

I genuinely don’t understand how Mama Brown has the reputation it does after the experience I had. I ordered the jambalaya, expecting something rich, fresh, and full of flavour. What I got instead was borderline inedible. It tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave — dry in parts, oddly soggy in others — and the prawns were still partially frozen. Not “a bit undercooked” — actually cold in the middle. That’s not a minor miss, that’s basic kitchen failure. For a dish that should be hearty and vibrant, this was lifeless, poorly executed, and frankly embarrassing to serve. At the price point, it’s not just disappointing — it feels lazy. If this is the standard coming out of the kitchen, there are serious issues with quality control and food handling. I won’t be back.

I was not impressed with the overall quality or value for money. The cola was clearly coming from a post-mix system, which is typically low-cost, yet it was priced the same as places that serve canned or bottled drinks. That simply isn’t acceptable, especially considering the portion sizes were also quite small. To give the restaurant a fair chance, I ordered the most expensive burger on the menu, hoping it would stand out. Unfortunately, it didn’t justify the price in terms of taste or quality. In fact, after finishing our meal here, we ended up going to another restaurant to eat again — which probably says everything about our experience.

Phenomenal! Juicy, flavorful, and stacked high with delicious toppings, each bite was pure bliss. And the portions? Huge! We left feeling completely satisfied but couldn’t resist indulging in dessert. The Snickers waffle and Cookie Monster waffle were simply out of this world! The Snickers waffle had the perfect balance of chocolate, caramel, and nutty goodness, while the Cookie Monster waffle was a dream for any cookie lover—soft, sweet, and loaded with all the best flavors. Every aspect of our experience was top-notch, from the mouthwatering food to the excellent service. If you’re looking for a place that delivers both quality and quantity, this is it!
