Very good option for dentistry in Wellington. I had an initial appointment with x-rays, a cleaning, a filling, and some sealing. All were done very professionally and the staff were very kind. I was glad to have so little judgement from them when I told them I hadn't been flossing haha. Not sure how the costs compare to other dentists, but the initial consultation being only $99 was pretty good.
After putting off going to the dentist for far too long because of ongoing pain, I finally decided it was time to get it sorted. I’d been to a few different dental practices before, but Tina, Nicky, and the team were the first to make me feel genuinely comfortable and at ease. Tina took the time to explain exactly what was happening, why my dental health needed to be a priority, and what my treatment options were. Having a tooth extraction is intimidating, but she guided me through every step with patience, honesty, and reassurance, which made a huge difference. A big thank you as well to Nicky, who was incredibly friendly, thorough, and professional. Together they made what could have been a stressful experience feel much more manageable. I think finding the right dentist is a lot like finding the right barber you build trust, and that personal connection really matters. Tina and Nicky have definitely earned mine. I genuinely appreciate the care I’ve received and, for the first time, I actually feel confident about looking after my dental health. I’ll definitely be coming back to complete the rest of my treatment. Highly recommend Woodward Dental to anyone who’s been putting off a visit they’ll make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
kia ora all so my wife has been to Lumino Woodward Dental several times for dental hygiene appointments with hygienist Tia Yu. Tia is always friendly and pleasant, which is appreciated. However, it has been disappointing that during these hygiene appointments there has consistently been no polishing or flossing provided, whereas other dental hygienists we’ve seen elsewhere normally include both as part of a standard clean. It makes the service feel incomplete and somewhat rushed compared to expectations for a professional hygiene appointment. my wife has felt uncomfortable raising this directly because she values the relationship and wants to continue attending the clinic, so we felt it would be better to leave constructive feedback here instead. We’re leaving this feedback constructively in the hope the clinic reviews the consistency of care provided across different hygienists.
The dental treatment service offered by Lumino Woodward Dental is exceptional. For my recent treatment - crown preparation - the dentist was on time, explained the treatment in detail, prepared me to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, carried out the procedure carefully and without interruption, showed me the results, and described the next steps. I was surprised and appreciative to receive a follow up phone call the next day to check how I was and whether there were any problems (none). I'm 75 and have experience with many dentists - no previous dentist has ever followed up with me after treatment. Together with the competitive price this adds up to a strong recommendation. Lumino Woodward ranks top of my list.
Today was my third appointment with Dr. Tina Patu, dentist. I had previously been her patient when she worked at another clinic in Wellington, and when I found out she had left that clinic, I searched for her on Google. I was extremely relieved to discover that she had not moved to another city. I then booked an appointment at Lumino Woodward Dental and informed them that I specifically wanted to see Dr. Tina. Dr. Tina is truly one of the best dentists I have ever met in Wellington. In addition to being highly skilled and dedicated in treating her patients, she is also very warm and personable. I genuinely recommend her. My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tina, and to the staff at Lumino Woodward Dental, who are all kind, professional, and well-organized.
