A perfect place for brunch!! We ordered waffle and steak sandwich, both of them are way better than we expected. Staffs also super friendly and smile all the time. Definitely come back next time to try other dishes❤️❤️❤️

Enjoyed a lovely morning tea/brunch at Lola Stays. We were sitting outside on this sunny morning. The staff was very friendly and the Eggs Benedict, Apple Pie and Pancakes are highly recommended 👌

My partner and I went in for lunch on a Wednesday, and it was very quiet. We went to the counter to let someone know we were there, and the barista told us to take a seat, so we did. We sat there waiting for at least five minutes. A man then sat down right next to us. When the waitress came over, she handed him a menu and asked if he would like a coffee. He said he had already ordered at the counter. My partner and I looked at each other because we were confused. We had tried to order at the counter but had been told to sit down. After waiting a few more minutes, I eventually went back up to the counter to order because it was taking longer than expected, especially given how quiet it was. The same waitress who had served the man next to us told me to go and take a seat and said she would come and take our order. I explained that we had already been sitting there for quite some time. She simply told me again to go and take a seat and that someone would come back to take our order. I went back to my seat and waited a few more minutes. Eventually, the same waitress came over. She did not apologise. She just said she had not seen us sitting there. My partner and I found this very strange, because we were literally sitting next to the table of the man she had already acknowledged and served. We found the whole situation rude, dismissive, and disappointing. It was a quiet afternoon, and we were polite. We were not expecting anything extra, but the service felt very dismissive and unwelcoming. In the end, we decided not to stay for lunch and just ordered two takeaway coffees. That still took around 15 minutes, which is not an exaggeration. Definitely not worth the money or the experience.

My favorite cafe in Wellington! The waffle was just fabulous - not to mention enormous - and the bacon was some of the best I’d ever had. Also loved the mocha, excellent coffee. It was pretty loud and crowded for lunch on a Saturday.
