Leafee is consistently good. The specials are always unique and tasty. This is the best French Toast I've ever had. The brulee on the toast was perfect.

Had a charming brunch here! This slither of a cafe has five tables and a window bar to pick from with wholesome dried flower wreaths on the walls, which are for sale. We ordered two pots of tea, the Matcha & Raspberry Friand, the savoury Tofu Pancakes, and Potato Cakes with Poached Eggs. There is a sign warning there’s a 10min wait for coffee and a 30min wait for food, that was about right for us but we did see others get food quicker! It appeared to be just one power house of a woman working the shop, so we were very impressed. We enjoyed relaxing and sipping tea while we waited. The friand was exceptional, great earthy matcha flavour and we were both stoked with our meals. Great portions and amazing prices — the eggs were $15 and the tofu pancakes $19 (June 2026)! The toilet is in a tiny room — very cute — and was welcoming, clean and tidy. This adorable cafe was recommend to us and we highly recommend it to you, too!

We were staying in town and decided to head out somewhere close to our hotel on The Terrace. We arrived about 8:30am on a Saturday morning and the cafe wasn’t too busy. We were seated immediately and were able to order straight away. My wife had the Leafee Breakfast and I had the Salted Caramel Butter Pancakes (pictured). The food was excellent, I don’t think I’ve tasted better homemade bread!! The coffee is also excellent and one of the best we’ve had in Wellington. Will definitely be back and recommending to friends.

The best cafe in Wellington! Coffee is consistent, food is of high quality and the service is awesome. We come here regularly and are big fans of the butter rolls, especially the rocket and feta! Highly highly recommend this place 😊

Three of us came here for lunch today. It’s a small café, and it was buzzing with activity. Luckily, we managed to get the only free table! Two of my friends had the Japanese noodle salad, which they absolutely loved—a generous serving, too. I had the Tohu pancakes. Wow—so innovative, healthy, and absolutely delicious! I’d definitely love to have it again. This café has long been a favorite with the locals and is always packed. All the dishes are carefully crafted, delicious, and reasonably priced. Most plates are around $19 and come in generous portions. We certainly recommend this place.
