Kisa is a restaurant in Wellington serving Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine, with a focus on bold Turkish flavors. Our dishes are designed for sharing, featuring house-baked pita and items from our charcoal grill. Our menu changes regularly to showcase seasonal produce, and we offer options like hummus, lamb Urfa kebab, muhammara, and John Dory fish with pilaf rice. We take bookings for 50% of our restaurant, leaving the rest available for walk-in guests.
What a wonderful experience to be dining at one of the Michelin selected restaurants that too on my birthday! Such a warm cozy space. Definitely recommend. Staff was lovely. Interior was great. Such a quick service for such a packed restaurant. Get your reservations sorted asap as they are always booked out. No surprises there.

Had an amazing experience at Kisa. The atmosphere was incredible, the food was delicious, and the Aperol Spritz was one of the best I’ve had. The hummus, lamb Urfa kebab, and the muhammara with the warm pita were absolute standouts. Huge shoutout to Cam for going above and beyond with such friendly, attentive service. Great vibes, great location, and we’ll definitely be back.

Saad was amazing!!! He was a great waiter who helped us out immensely. My partner is allergic to eggs and peanuts and he helped with that. He also gave super food recommendations on what we eat as we were having trouble deciding between options. Highly highly recommend his recommendation of the hummus & lor cheese dips with sour dough flat bread, followed by saving the leftover dips for the spiced goat Mezze.
Amazing service 10/10 would go again!!!

Had a fantastic experience at KISA in Wellington CBD. The food delivers bold, authentic Turkish flavours, and the overall vibe is warm and cozy—perfect for a relaxed meal in the city.
A special mention to the staff who were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the halal options and explaining their signature dishes. That level of care really stood out.
I tried the John Dory fish, which was cooked to perfection—beautifully done, though I wouldn’t mind a slightly larger portion. On the side, I had the pilaf rice with garlic, almonds, macadamia, and mild red chillies—absolutely delicious and very well presented.
One small suggestion: it would be great to see more halal options on the menu. I was keen to try the Adana kebab, but it’s currently not halal—adding this would make the place even more appealing for tourists.
Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great flavours, presentation, and service. Highly recommended!

Every dish we had was amazing - my personal favourites were the hummus & pita, kebab, and the Turkish coffee baba dessert. The baba dessert was PERFECTION - one of the best things I’ve ever eaten omg I’m still thinking about it. It really reminded me of my (Persian) mums dessert. Staff are helpful and friendly and attentive too. Props to the chefs!! 🤌
